World Table Tennis Day 2020 goes DIGITAL!

You were excited about celebrating World Table Tennis Day 2020? You are not only bored due to COVID-19 recommendations but frustrated that April 6 was provisionally suspended? Well, JOIN THE CLUB!

Over the past days we were thinking and working at high pressure on how to still celebrate the WTTD 2020 – a day to show solidarity through table tennis!

The ITTF Foundation prioritises the health and safety of our organisers and participants above everything else. Therefore, we understand that there will be significant changes in the affected areas and want to reiterate that: health and safety comes first.

Our digital era let us room for celebrations. Even if we cannot gather personally, we can stay united digitally and raise our rackets to #BLOCKcovid-2019! We make a stand against COVID-19 and spread solidarity instead of a virus to combat this pandemic declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

More information about this year’s digital version of the WTTD is coming SOON!

In the meantime, take care of your HEALTH and protect others by following the WHO recommendations:

    • Wash your hands frequently
    • Maintain social distancing
    • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
    • Practice respiratory hygiene
    • If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
    • Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider
