Two months until World Table Tennis Day 2024: Promenaden Leipzig Central Station takes centre stage
With World Table Tennis Day (WTTD) 2024 awaiting just two months ahead, the ITTF Foundation is excited to declare Promenaden Leipzig Central Station (also known as Promenaden Hauptbahnhof Leipzig) as our location partner!
Celebrating the event where its headquarters is located and where it all began, the ITTF Foundation has teamed up with Promenaden Leipzig Central Station to celebrate the WTTD on April 23, 2024, in Leipzig, Germany. As one of the largest railway stations in Europe, Promenaden Leipzig Central Station serves millions of passengers annually.
This year, the ITTF Foundation also celebrates its fifth anniversary of unifying the power of table tennis for the UN Sustainable Development Goals and fostering positive social change globally since its inauguration in 2019.
As the epicentre of global celebrations for this year, the Leipzig event will host a series of unique activities, including the #TTBelongsToYou Tournament, Diversity and Inclusion sessions, fun sessions with renowned table tennis players, and more, all aimed at spreading joy and excitement to participants on April 23 at Promenaden Leipzig Central Station.
Worldwide Celebrations
Along with the event in Leipzig, the anticipation is building up to this annual occasion with the number of event registrations for WTTD celebrations worldwide surpassing 100, encompassing 48 different countries and territories. With this year's theme centred on "Diversity and Inclusion," we once again extend a warm invitation to and encourage every table tennis enthusiast to share your passion for table tennis by organising and registering your event for WTTD 2024, regardless of your location on the map!
