INTERACT Toolkit Is Live and Available for All

The International and European Sport Organisation (ISOs) Activate Citizens (INTERACT) toolkit is live! The INTERACT Project led by TAFISA (The Association for International Sport for All) encourages ISOs to develop and promote Sport for All and physical activities. The toolkit was introduced during the INTERACT Closing Conference on 2 December 2022.

INTERACT, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, aims to assist ISOs and position them as major figures in the Sport for All and physical activity movements by creating innovative strategies to engage stakeholders and citizens at all geographical levels.

The ITTF Foundation is the leading partner organisation of the intellectual output 5, creating a Sport for All and physical activity Toolkit. It will be a practical source for ISOs to start or deepen their work towards activating citizens.

During the INTERACT Online Closing Conference held on 2 December 2022, the toolkit has launched and is online now!

By offering 7 different Sport for All initiatives, 6 different purposes, and 6 different venues, this toolkit aims to facilitate people on how to begin using sport to create a better world. It assists ISOs in developing and promoting Sport for All that applies to 14 target groups so that ISOs can tailor their toolkits based on their needs.

Aiming to put the toolkit and capacity-building framework created by the INTERACT project into effect, the INTERACT + Project 2023–2025 will be commenced in January 2023.

“Through the INTERACT +, we will be delivering models for international sport organisations, national federations, sport clubs to promote Sport for All, aiming to contribute to society and UN Sustainable Development Goals. We will also be rewarding and recognising the work done by the international sport organisations and their members in the field of Sport for All, as well as bridging the gap by providing knowledge-sharing platforms between formal and informal sport practices.” - Game Mothibi, Senior Manager, TAFISA.

Together with additional partners, such as University of Limerick (UL) and International University Sports Federation (FISU), ITTF Foundation continues to be TAFISA's partner in the INTERACT + project.

“We are delighted to partner with a wide range of experienced partners in Sports for All. We will develop a practical and useful tool with the INTERACT + project. Sport for All is like a jungle, a rich environment with much life, supported by many highly motivated people. We have created a practical toolkit in the INTERACT project and have seen many best cases. What is missing now is to bring all these pieces together. This is what we committed to in the INTERACT + project. Our objective is to empower international sport organisations and national federations to develop and promote Sport for All and support their members through peer-to-peer support where they can exchange best cases, questions, and ideas.” Wiebke Scheffler, ITTF Foundation Head of Operations.

From theory to practice, the partners will be able to respond to the needs of the international sport organisations and their members to realise Sports for All and to promote the positive impact of sport on public health, social values, gender equality, as well as cultural development.
