35 Promoters Selected for the World Table Tennis Day 2023

The ITTF Foundation is delighted to announce that 35 promoters from around the world have been selected to join the organisation's promoter's initiative for World Table Tennis Day 2023. The WTTD promoter’s initiative, which began in 2021, has become an integral part of the annual event, and aims to foster sustainability through the sport of table tennis.
Since its launch, a total of 85 promoters from different countries have been promoting the World Table Tennis Day during the past years, affecting a lot of people through their table tennis initiatives. Promoters are playing an important role in spreading social values through table tennis, and the ITTF Foundation is committed to supporting their efforts.
The successful applicants for the promoter's initiative for World Table Tennis Day 2023 will participate in virtual sessions, engage with each other, and be familiarized with implementing the United Nations Sustainable Goals during their table tennis initiatives. Alumni promoters will also share their experience and knowledge about the World Table Tennis Day with the new promoters.
The promoters were selected based on their passion for promoting World Table Tennis Day 2023 as a tool for sustainable change in their communities. Each promoter will receive guidance, toolkits, and certificates from the ITTF Foundation team, as well as financial support of EUR 750 to help them organize their own world table tennis day initiatives on 23 April 2023.
The promoters' initiatives will address ten of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainability towards people, planet, and prosperity. Through the initiatives, the ITTF Foundation aims to support the selected promoters to use their voices to promote World Table Tennis Day 2023 and address sustainability issues in their communities.
"We are thrilled to welcome these 35 new promoters to the ITTF Foundation's promoter's initiative for World Table Tennis Day 2023," said ITTF Foundation Director, Leandro Olvech. "Through their efforts, we hope to make a meaningful impact on sustainability, using table tennis as a tool for positive change."
The promoter's initiative is aligned with the ITTF Foundation's strategic plan - to spread table tennis for all, for a better life. The Foundation is committed to promoting sustainability and social change through table tennis, and the World Table Tennis Day is a key part of this mission. The day, which takes place on 23 April each year, celebrates the sport's inclusivity and brings people together from all backgrounds and abilities to enjoy the game.
