2025 World Table Tennis for Health Festival After-movie Released: Relive the Joy, Hope, and Camaraderie
Last November, the 2025 World Table Tennis for Health Festival powered by Ultimate Table Tennis concluded in Helsingborg, Sweden, leaving behind unforgettable memories of resilience, determination, and friendship. Today, we are overjoyed to unveil the official after-movie of this biggest-ever edition, which is a vibrant tribute to the inspiring individuals and communities who came together to celebrate health through table tennis.
As we look back on this extraordinary week, we invite you to watch, share, and relive the powerful moments that made the Festival so special.
A Record-Breaking Celebration, A Week of Inspiration
Held in Helsingborg, Sweden, the third edition of the World Table Tennis for Health Festival—featuring the 5th World Parkinson’s Table Tennis Championships, the 3rd World Alzheimer’s Table Tennis Championships, and the World Table Tennis for Health Congress—marked the largest and most impactful gathering in the event’s history. A record 189 players living with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s from 24 countries and territories came together, demonstrating the universal power of table tennis to bring hope, movement, and community.
The World Parkinson’s Table Tennis Championships and World Alzheimer’s Table Tennis Championships showcased remarkable performances on the table, but even more importantly highlighted the courage and perseverance of players who continue to redefine what is possible through sport.
Alongside the championships, the World Table Tennis for Health Congress welcomed leading researchers, medical professionals, and sport development practitioners to explore the growing body of evidence supporting table tennis as a powerful tool for physical health, brain health, and social well-being.
Complementing the championships and congress, the Festival also featured a variety of health-focused side activities designed to encourage movement, connection, and community interaction. Each day began with uplifting warm-up sessions and dance routines led by dedicated volunteers. Interactive activities organised by Alzheimer Leon, one of the SWAN project partners, introduced table tennis–inspired exercises that supported motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and cognitive stimulation. Participants also enjoyed trying virtual reality table tennis and playing with ITTF Foundation Ambassador Zoran Primorac for friendly rallies and shared advice on and off the table.
The success of the 2025 Festival was the result of a year-long journey of collaboration and preparation. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Swedish Table Tennis Federation, whose dedication and warm hospitality made the event in Helsingborg memorable. When the global community finally gathered there, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, empathy, and encouragement. Every rally, every cheer, and every shared smile reminded us why this Festival matters.
The Journey Continues this October in China
