It has been two weeks since we opened the interest form for the 2025 World Table Tennis for Health Festival in Helsingborg, Sweden. So far, over 110 people have expressed their interest! A Record-Breaking Edition in France
The 2024 World Table Tennis for Health Festival in Maizières-lès-Metz, France, held last October, brought together table tennis enthusiasts, players, caregivers, coaches, health experts, and those who believe in the power of table tennis to improve overall well-being. This meaningful event has fostered friendship, resilience, and passion for the sport as we gathered together.
From the thrilling competitions of the World Parkinson’s and World Alzheimer’s Table Tennis Championships to the insightful discussions at the World Table Tennis for Health Congress, the event demonstrated that table tennis is more than just a sport—it is a powerful medium for connection, rehabilitation, and inclusion.

Exciting and Heartwarming Championships
The 2024 World Parkinson’s Table Tennis Championships and World Alzheimer’s Table Tennis Championships set new benchmarks in participation and engagement with the achievements including:
- 153 participants — the highest number of players ever recorded at the event.
- 34 women and 119 men competing with skill and determination.
- 25 countries and territories from 4 continents represented.
- A total of 954 matches were played.

Insightful and Innovative Congress
The 2024 World Table Tennis for Health Congress provided a platform for scientific findings and discussions on how table tennis can promote health and well-being. The highlights include:
- 18 expert speakers delivered insightful presentations.
- 188 online registrations, showcasing global participation.
- Key topics included the benefits of table tennis for those with Parkinson's, practical guidance and exercises, and innovative projects in Table Tennis for Health.
- Partnership with France Parkinson at the Congress to expand the reach and impact of the Congress.
